{"id":29388,"date":"2024-02-11T09:19:42","date_gmt":"2024-02-11T09:19:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jba.com.jo\/?p=29388"},"modified":"2024-07-09T09:21:14","modified_gmt":"2024-07-09T09:21:14","slug":"jordan-enjoys-strong-economic-relations-with-india-jba","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jba.com.jo\/en\/jordan-enjoys-strong-economic-relations-with-india-jba\/","title":{"rendered":"Jordan enjoys &#8216;strong&#8217; economic relations with India-JBA"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"29388\" class=\"elementor elementor-29388\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-330b74e4 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"330b74e4\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-74dcba50 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"74dcba50\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Indian Embassy in Amman, in cooperation with the Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA), organized a seminar on joint investment opportunities between Jordan and Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, with the participation of the two countries&#8217; business owners.<\/p><p>JBA President, Hamdi Tabba&#8217;a, said Jordan has &#8220;strong&#8221; economic relations with India, adding that commercial partnerships between the two business communities are &#8220;constantly&#8221; developing.<\/p><p>Tabba&#8217;a indicated that volume of Jordan-India trade exchange reached $4.5 billion during the past two years (2022 and 2023).<\/p><p>During the symposium held at the JBA\u2019s headquarters, Tabba&#8217;a noted there are multiple &#8220;successful&#8221; Indian projects in Jordan that have enjoyed the &#8220;competitive&#8221; privileges of the Kingdom&#8217;s investment environment.<\/p><p>He said Indian investments in Jordan&#8217;s clothing and phosphate sector are estimated at more than $1.5 billion, in addition to $860 million in the phosphoric acid production.<\/p><p>Additionally, he pointed out that India ranks 6th among countries in terms of investment in Amman Stock Market, with a value of about JD726 million, stressing the JBA\u2019s keenness to strengthen the wto countries&#8217; investment, trade and economic relations.<\/p><p>Taba&#8217;a indicated presence of many &#8220;promising&#8221; economic sectors of common interest, especially mining, chemical and fertilizer industries, pharmaceutical industries, agriculture, information technology and tourism.<\/p><p>Meanwhile, Indian Ambassador to Amman, Anwar Halim, said bilateral relations are &#8220;distinguished&#8221; in various fields.<\/p><p>Madhya Pradesh, which is one of the key Indian states at the economic level, enjoys &#8220;distinguished&#8221; relations with Arab countries, especially in terms of the agricultural sector, the diplomat said.<\/p><p>Halim stated that Jordan-India trade exchange improved &#8220;significantly&#8221; and grew by 63% in recent years, noting &#8220;strong&#8221; Indian-Jordanian partnerships, especially in the phosphate and clothing fields.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8e40aa1 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"8e40aa1\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4810074 elementor-widget elementor-widget-pix-badge\" data-id=\"4810074\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"pix-badge.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"pix-badge-element h6 d-inline-flex mr-1 \"  ><span class=\"badge font-weight-bold  bg-primary-light  \" style=\" \"><span class=\"text-primary\" style=\"\">Badge text<\/span><\/span><\/span>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Indian Embassy in Amman, in cooperation with the Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA), organized a seminar on joint investment opportunities between Jordan and Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, with the participation of the two countries&#8217; business owners.
