Head of the Jordanian Businessmen Association (JPA) Hamdi Tabba’a, discussed with Chargé d’Affairs of Oman’s embassy in Jordan, Yaqoub Ruqaishi, ways to promote joint economic relations.<\/p>\n
In a statement on Wednesday, Tabba’a said “historical and cultural” Jordanian-Omani ties will strengthen joint economic relations, adding that these efforts aim to achieve “positive” developments in a variety of sectors, primarily joint investments, information technology, tourism, and education.<\/p>\n
Tabba’a said these ties are based on exchanging common interests and the desire to enhance economic cooperation.<\/p>\n
He also pointed to the recently signed trade and investment agreements aimed at enhancing trade flow and expanding mutual investment opportunities.<\/p>\n
Additionally, Tabba’a invited Omani businesspeople to visit Jordan and learn about its investment opportunities.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Ruqaishi expressed Omani businesspeople’s commitment to strengthen bilateral cooperation in a number of sectors within the framework of strengthening economic diplomacy.<\/p>\n
“Jordan is a key partner for Oman. Both countyries are working to strengthen economic ties and exchange expertise to achieve sustainable development to serve common interests,” he said.<\/p>\n
The diplomat stressed the embassy’s readiness to provide all facilitions to increase flow of joint investments.<\/p>\n
The embassy, he noted, seeks to expand cooperation scope to achieve further progress and prosperity, in light of the Kingdom’s “remarkable” development and progress expected to be made in infrastructure fields.<\/p>\n
Volume of Jordan-Oman exports in 2022 amounted to approximately $51.1 million and value of imports stood at $40.8 million, while the joint trade balance recorded a “positive” indicator last year of $10.3 million, compared to 2021, which reflected a negative indicator of $4.8 million, according to official data<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
