On Sunday 21/7/2013 ,HE Mr. Hamdi Tabba’a ,JBA Chairman , received Mr. Walid Hadeed the Jordanian Ambassador to Indonesia . The meeting was attended by HE Mr. Thabet AL Taher , JBA Vice Chairman. Mr. Mohammad Belbeisi ,and Mr. Hussam Hudhud , Board members . The discussions reviewed the economic relations between Jordan & Indonesia and the means to enhance these relations in all sectors of the economy including investment projects, higher education , health care and tourism . Mr. Tabba’a stressed the importance of maintaining continuous contacts with the Embassy in Jakarta in order to provide the Jordanian businessmen with info regarding economic cooperation opportunities with Indonesia , he pointed out to the Indonesian Government future project to connect the islands with a bridge costing around $16 bill. , a project that the Jordanian contracting companies can participate in its execution through the establishment of a consortium with Indo companies. On his part HE Mr. Hadeed said that the Embassy will be the main connection for businessmen to explore the investment opportunities and he also encouraged them to participate in Jakarta International Fairs for this purpose . It is worth mentioning that the Indonesian investments in Jordan reach $350 mill . and the trade exchanges amount to $380 mill in 2012 .
