The Ambassador of Tunisia visits JBA

HE Mr. Hamdi Tabba’a met the Ambassador of Tunisia , Mrs. Afeefa Mallah and the commercial counselor of the embassy ,the meeting was attended by Mr. Tareq Hijazi , JBA Director General . JBA Chairman congratulated the Ambassador for assuming her new post in Amman , and reviewed the role of JBA in enhancing the economic relations with Arab and friendly countries on the private sector level , as for Tunisia , he expressed concern regarding the low level of trade exchanges and minimum private sector cooperation , he explained the attractive investment climate that Jordan enjoys and called the Tunisian businessmen to invest in Jordan and widen the scope of Jordanian exports to Tunisia , the bilateral trade exchanges are below expectations and reached last year JD 12 mill of Jordanian pharmaceuticals and fertilizers while imports from Tunisia reached JD 55mill . Her Excellency the Ambassador agreed that the current cooperation level is below expectations and asserted that the embassy will exert all possible efforts to enhance the economic relations and that the exchange of businessmen visits will assist in informing both sides of the prospective investment and trade opportunities
