Jordanian Businessmen Association, Spanish Delegation Discuss Cooperation

The Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA) held discussions on Monday with a Spanish delegation led by Angel Antonio Gonzalez, Mayor of Siero, to explore ways of enhancing cooperation in the economic, investment, and trade sectors.

Hamdi Tabbaa, President of the JBA, emphasized the historic nature of Jordanian-Spanish relations, noting their strong foundation based on mutual friendship and reinforced by the close ties between the leaderships of the two countries. He also expressed appreciation for Spain’s supportive stance on the Palestinian cause.

Tabbaa highlighted that the JBA has maintained a joint business council with Spain since 1994, and continues to seek increased cooperation to strengthen economic ties. He called for expanding Spanish investments in Jordan, noting that these investments remain relatively limited.

Furthermore, he stressed the importance of boosting Jordanian exports to the Spanish market, underscoring the resilience and attractiveness of Jordan’s economy, despite regional challenges.

Gonzalez, for his part, outlined investment opportunities in Siero, particularly in the dairy, real estate, and tourism sectors. He emphasized the potential advantages these sectors offer to investors and reiterated the need for closer economic ties between the two countries.
