Jordan, Mexico to establish business council

President of Jordan Businessmen Association (JBA) Hamdi Tabbaa and Mexican Ambassador to Jordan Enrique Rojo agreed on the need to set up a joint Jordanian-Mexican business council to boost relations between the business community in the two countries.

During a meeting in Amman on Sunday, Tabbaa called for increasing trade exchange between Jordan and Mexico, affirming the JBA’s readiness to receive Mexican businessmen to take a first-hand look at investment opportunities in the Kingdom.

The ambassador said the establishment of the council will enhance relations between the business community in both countries and encourage them to launch trade partnerships.

Trade exchange between Jordan and Mexico stood at $188 million with Jordanian exports accounting for a modest $4 million.
