The Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA) and the Romanian-Jordanian Economic Cooperation Association (RJECA) on Monday signed an agreement to launch a joint Jordanian-Romanian business council to further develop their economic relations, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra
The agreement was signed by JBA President Hamdi Tabbaa and RJECA President Radu Bogdan Penu.
A JBA statement on Tuesday said that the business council will contribute to concluding joint trade and investment agreements between business owners from the two countries, with the aim of increasing trade exchange, expanding bilateral economic activities, exchanging investment information, and trade delegations.
“It will also play a role in encouraging Romanian businesses to take advantage of various investment incentives,” the statement added.
The JBA president said the prospective council is an important step toward advancing bilateral relations at various levels, which will, in turn, support the national economy, accelerate growth, and provide job opportunities.
