The Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA) discussed Tuesday, with the Turkish Ambassador Erdem Ozan means to develop economic relations and the role of the business community in this regard.
According to a JBA statement, the two sides stressed the need to activate the joint Jordanian-Turkish Business Council, which was established in 1994 to link the association and the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkiye, in addition to boosting cooperation in medical tourism.
During the meeting, the JBA President Hamdi Tabbaa said that Jordan had managed to weather the storm of international economic disruptions and cement its reputation as a secure investment hub in the region, thanks to its steadfast commitment to maintaining a stable investment environment.
Tabbaa indicated that the association is preparing to hold an international conference for French-speaking business owners in mid-May, calling on the Turkish business community to participate and learn about existing investment opportunities in various sectors.
In turn, Ozan highlighted prospects for investment cooperation, pointing out that his country is interested in investing in the Kingdom.
He also pointed to the embassy’s commitment to cooperation to network between the business communities in Jordan and Turkiye, stressing the role of the joint business council in revitalizing trade and investment relations.
The ambassador lauded Jordan’s support for his country during the earthquake and the provision of aid, noting that Turkiye was negatively affected by the losses it suffered as a result, which means its economy needs time to recover.
