JBA organized a seminar with the Indian Embassy in Amman on 23/10/2016 . HE Dr. Yousef Mansour , State Minister for Economic Affairs addressed the participants reviewing the economic relations between both countries and the prospects for investment projects , benefitting from the Indian expertise in the field of human resource development , IT, manufacturing , and services. HE Mr. Hamdi Tabba’a , JBA Chairman , presented JBA’s role in enhancing the economic relations and currently is organizing with FAB the 5th Arab India Partnership conference which will take place in Oman during 14-15 Dec. 2016 . This Conference will be an excellent opportunity for the Jordanian and Indian counterparts to get acquainted with the present cooperation opportunities especially establishing joint investments . He added that it is well known that India is one of the leading economies in the world and distinguished in various economic sectors especially IT sector , which Jordan has become a leader in the region as well , so we would like to explore the ways and means on how Jordan can benefit from the Indian high expertise in this regard, in this context I would like to point out that a group of young Jordanians businessmen are present with us today specialized in IT , eager to get acquainted with the prospects for cooperation in this sector with their Indian counterparts . Also as India is well advanced in the vehicles and textiles industries , it is worth considering the possibility of establishing a joint venture in these sectors to meet the local demand and for exporting to third markets , the US market in specific, thus benefitting from the exemptions and incentives of the Jordan –US Free Trade Agreement .
H.E. Mrs. Shubhdarshini Tripathi, the Ambassador of India , addressed the participating reviewing the relations between Jordan and India and expressing the interest of the Indian private sector to enhance the relations with Jordan.
