HE Mr. Hamdi Tabba’a met the Pakitsani Ambassador in Amman HE Mr. Ahsan Azhar Hayat , on Wed. April 9th2014 . Mr. Tabba’a congratulated the Ambassador on the new post in Amman and wished him good luck and success in his efforts . JBA Chairman then explained about JBA role in enhancing the economic relations of Jordan with Arab and friendly countries on the private sector level , and he praised the distinguished historic relations between Jordan & Pakistan and pointed out that the economic relations still need more efforts from both sides to meet the aspirations of both countries , he reviewed the distinguished investment climate that Jordan enjoys in light of the several free trade agreements that enable the Jordanian products to enter major world markets duty free such as the US, EU,Turkey , Canada in addition to the Arab Free Trade Area ,he added that there are many investment opportunities for the Pakistani businessmen in the field of fertilizers manufacturing directed to the Pakistan market instead of importing phosphate rock , as well as in the pharmaceuticals industry . Regarding the bilateral trade it is way below expectations and limited to around $ 5 mill of imported rice and textiles from Pakistan while Jordan exports phosphate, fertilizers and pharmaceuticals , in addition , there are vast opportunities for cooperation in the higher education and medical care sectors. HE Mr. Ahsan Azhar Hayat , asserted the importance of exchanging business missions in order to explore the cooperation opportunities in all sectors of the economy and widening the exchanged commodities between the two countries , he added that the future economic relations will witness extensive efforts to encourage the business communities to cooperate in the different fields of the economy .
