Amman, September 16 (Petra) – President of the Jordanian Businessmen Association, Hamdi Al-Tabbaa, and the Czech Ambassador to the Kingdom, Aleksandar Šporis, discussed the prospects for economic and investment cooperation between the two countries and the strengthening of bilateral relations.

Al-Tabbaa pointed out the importance of the participatory role between Jordan and the Czech Republic, and the association’s keenness to unify the political, economic and social visions between the two countries, stressing the necessity of increasing the volume of trade exchange between the two countries.
He stressed the importance of facilitating joint investment opportunities, especially since Jordan enjoys high investment advantages and is an attractive area for investments.

In turn, Sporish expressed his country’s readiness to enhance cooperation in the economic and investment field between the two countries, and to provide the necessary support to achieve the success of joint projects, appreciating Jordan’s role in facing the economic challenges represented by the ongoing refugee pressure and high unemployment rates.
He stressed the role of the Czech embassy in providing support for joint economic projects between the two countries in various sectors, praising the energy, medicine and education sectors.
The volume of trade exchange between Jordan and the Czech Republic in 2022 reached approximately 28.2 million US dollars, compared to 34.4 million dollars in 2021.
Last year, Jordan’s exports to the Czech Republic amounted to about 860 thousand dollars, and its imports amounted to 27.3 million dollars, recording a deficit in the trade balance of 27.2 million.
