The Indian Ambassador in Amman, Ms. Shubdashini Tripathi, received the H.E Hamdi Al-Tabba’a and the members of the Board of Directors of the Association yesterday at the recently opened embassy. The results of the Association’s participation in the Jordanian- Indian committee meetings in new Delhi which was held last month were discussed, including the orientation of the association to participate in the 14th International Conference on Small and Medium Enterprises, to be held in New Delhi in September this year, and discussed the expected arrangements for the Jordanian-Indian Forum before the end of the year in Amman to come up with an action plan to increase the volume of mutual investments between businessmen in both countries by about $ 5 billion by 2020.
For his part, Al-Tabba’a stressed that the relations between the private sector members of the two countries are constantly developing which will increase cooperation in the establishment of real partnerships in the construction sector, to engage in reconstruction projects in the region.
On the sidelines of the meeting, and on the regional situation, the Jordanian Businessmen Association renewed its condemnation of the recent Israeli practices in the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the prohibition of praying there. Al-Tabba’a stressed that closing the occupation of Haram al-Quds and declaring it a military zone and preventing worshipers from establishing their rites is a violation of the sanctity of Islamic sanctities the whole world.
The meeting was attended by H.E Thabit Al Taher, Mr. Abdul Halim Abdeen, Mr. Hussam Al-Din Al-Hudhad, Mr. Yousry Tahboub and Mr. Tariq Hijazi, Director General of the Association.
