President of the Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA), Hamdi Tabbaa, discussed with Jordanian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Haitham Abu AlFoul, ways to intensify efforts to facilitate Jordanian-Saudi trade exchange and establish joint investment projects, mainly in the technology, tourism, industry, and logistics sectors.
During the meeting, held at the JBA’s headquarters on Wednesday, Tabbaa called for continuing coordination between both countries’ private sector institutions, given its “positive” impact in opening new markets for Jordanian products and increasing volume of mutual investments.
Saudi Arabia is one of Jordan’s key export markets, he said, noting joint “deep-rooted” economic relations forms a “solid foundation” for strengthening trade and investment cooperation, he pointed out.
Tabbaa said the JBA seeks to expand partnerships with Saudi economic institutions by exchanging trade delegations and building “strategic” relations, which would stimulate economic activity and provide fresh opportunities for the two countries’ investors.
Abu AlFoul, in turn, commended the JBA’s “vital” role in supporting bilateral economic relations, affirming the embassy’s “commitment” to providing “full support” to Jordanian businessmen and investors wishing to enter the Saudi market.
On its future role, the ambassador underlined the embassy’s “commitment” to facilitating the work of the Jordanian private sector in Saudi Arabia and providing the necessary facilitations to enhance its economic presence.
The diplomat also called for activating direct communication channels with private sector institutions to achieve “greater” bilateral cooperation.
