JBA receives TESA  delegation from Argentina

JBA receives a delegation from Argentina representing Sustainable Environmental Economy Group (TESA) headed by Mrs. Pesis Susana, President of TESA . During the meeting a Co-operation Agreement was signed between JBA & TESA , aiming to encourage the economic relations on the private sector level .
HE Mr. Hamdi Tabba’a welcomed the visiting delegation in his opening speech in which he reviewed the economic relations between Jordan & Argentina especially since the Royal visit to Latin America including Argentina in 2008 during which a frame work agreement was signed between Jordan and MERCOSUR countries of Latin America , that includes Brazil , Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay. He added that this meeting capitalizes on the Royal visit outcome aiming to enhance the economic relations between the business communities in both countries . He said that the trade exchanges between Jordan & Argentina are way below the expectations reaching to $307 mill in 2013being mainly imports into Jordan Mr. Tabba’a then explained the vast opportunities present to the Argentine businessmen to invest in Jordan benefitting from its free trade agreements with major world markets such as the Arab countries, USA, Turkey ,Canada and Singapore thus making Jordan a hub to the regional and world markets and above all the security and stability that makes Jordan unique in the region, he also mentioned the prospects of cooperation in the field of services especially religious tourism .Mrs. Pesis Susana thanked JBA for organizing the meeting and praised Jordan attractive investment climate and added that the private sector in Argentina realizes the importance of enhancing the economic relations with Jordan in specific and reviewed the Argentine economy and its rising ranking in the field of agriculture, food processing and biotechnology and research . the meeting agenda included also presentations given by representatives from ASEZA, Investment Board, Jordan Industrial` Estates, and JEDCO .
