Prime Minister Dr. Abdallah Nsour met the Turkish technical delegation headed by The Director of Turkish Investment Board, the delegation visited Jordan during 21-23/5/2013 as a follow up on the outcome of the Royal visit to Ankara last March , the meeting was attended by HE Mr. Hamdi Tabba’a, Chairman of JBA , Co-Chairman of the Turkish Jordanian Business Council , Mr. Ayman Hatahet ,Chairman of Jordan Chamber of Industry and Mr. Na’el Kabariti , Chairman of Jordan Chamber of Commerce , and the Turkish Ambassador in Amman Mr. Sedat Onal .
HE The Prime Minister asserted during the meeting the historic strong relations between Jordan and Turkey that is witnessing a great development recently especially after the Royal visit which paved the way to increased investments between the private sectors in both countries . The Prime Minister explained to the delegation the latest economic developments in Jordan and the prospective opportunities in Jordan for the Turkish Businessmen to benefit from its strategic location and attractive business environment. The head of Turkish delegation expected that the Turkish investments in Jordan to exceed $1bill soon
Mr. Serif Egeli , Co- Chairman of the Jordanian Turkish Business Council revealed to the press after the meeting that the Turkish businessmen are looking for Jordan to establish their investments and to penetrate through Jordan the regional markets , considering the establishment of a free zone in Aqaba to serve as a hub to the Gulf countries and Iraq .
HE Mr. Hamdi Tabba’a ,said that the delegation visit is a preparatory mission for the upcoming visit of Turkey Prime Minister to Jordan in the future and stated that the delegation visited Al Mafraq Development Zone and Aseza in order to to become aquainted with the trade and investment opportunities in these two attractive areas in Jordan
